The Homicide Unit is investigating a fatal shooting in Oxon Hill over the weekend. The victim is 29-year-old Demetrist Glover of Just Street in Northeast Washington. Preliminarily, detectives do not believe this was a random crime. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
On June 18th, at about 2:05 am, patrol officers were called to the 1400 block of Southern Avenue for a shooting. When they arrived, officers found the victim outside suffering from gunshot wounds. He died a short time later at a hospital.
Detectives are working to identify a motive and the suspect(s).
